  I have this great friend who is trying to turn her life around but she just got out of jail an everyone thinks she is still doing bad things but she isn't she is just having a hard time finding a place to stay and a job so she can support herself and hopefully be able to spend time with her daughter. Does anyone know of anywhere she can go to get help now cause I don't want anything to happen to her or for her to do things that she shouldn't have to just to get money?

  Jason, if your friend is a Norfolk resident, she may qualify for job skills training/employment, referrals for housing, transportation, counseling, and other support services through Second Chances at Norfolk City Hall. Their number is 757-664-4281. If she is not a Norfolk resident, she can call our hotline 757-430-2120 and ask for other programs that might be available. Our intake coordinators have a lot of resources and may be able to help her plan the next steps.
