  #SIAhelp Can anyone recommend an IT specialist to help solve an External Hard drive issue. Basically I use it to store design work. Was working fine 2 days ago but now the laptop isn't recognising it, have tried other usb ports and another laptop and neither recognise it. It makes the noise a laptop makes when it detects a new device has been plugged in but it doesn't show.

  #SIArecommendations Does anyone know anyone local who can fix a laptop. HP Pavilion, when you turn it on says "preparing automatic repair" then the screen goes blank. Local computer superstore quoted £50 to find the fault, £30 for a new hard drive and £80 to try and recover pictures and documents from old hard drive (no guarantees). Apparently a fatal error.
