I would like to find a barber shop that doesn't only do crew cuts and fades or a salon that won't make me look like my mom. I'm in Midtown but willing to drive to preserve my luscious locks.   Have you checked out [Elephant in the Room](http://eitrlounge.com)? They do pretty great work although it is a bit pricier than your average barber shop/salon. They have a location on Boston, very close to midtown.
