5 months after the storm and this is still the state of my home. We are expecting our second child in about 8 weeks and could have never imagined that we would still not be a single step closer to being able to bring our child home to our own home.
I am writing today in hopes that someone here may be able to provide us with some information.
1. Does anyone personally know a master plumber licensed in the town of babylon? We have received some quotes, but according to our contractor, they are seriously over charging. We have a very small insurance budget to work within and I really need some help. Please PM me if you have any information.
2. We need to replace all of our appliances. I am not sure if there are any appliance stores around giving discounts to Sandy victims.
3. Would anyone be willing to help build a deck? It was not covered by insurance and we may need some extra hands when we get moving.
4. Can anyone reccomend a cleaning service that could try to steam clean our sofa and chair? It was elevated but will need a deep clean in order to use.
Thank you everyone for reading my post and for all the help you have provided thus far to those in need.
And most of all, thank you for not forgetting about us. It seems that everyone else has which adds insult to injury in my case, when you habe waited 5 months for even an insurance check.
Thank you.
