About us

Experienced hairdresser and salon manager Claire Chaplin took over the former Christopher John Salon in June 2002. Claire was keen to upgrade the salon which got a bright, modern look and a new range of TIGI products. Marcus joined in August that year adding a tanning and nails business to the premises. With mother Pam as Receptionist/Assistant and father Jim as Company Secretary the salon is very much a family concern.

Claire has been in hairdressing for 20 years, has a great interest in the business and keenly follows all the latest trends and developments. Specialising in wedding hair, she enjoys creating the perfect style for your special day. Chaplin's also employs competent stylists, Dora, Tracey and junior stylist, Claire S.

Marcus' Get Tanning business offers high speed tan cab with session prices from just £2.50 as well as great value, money saving courses. Marcus is fully trained in maincures, nail art, Bio Sculpture Gel and can now offer CND Shellac. Shellac goes on like polish but is tough like gel, giving a high gloss, instantly dry finish, that lasts 14 days+.
