Where can I find a secular therapist? I've been struggling with depression and I'm working up the nerve to actually try to get some help. I live in Alabama though, right in the middle of the bible belt. I don't want to set up an appointment and pay to see a therapist that's going to just try to convince me that I need to work on my "spiritual health" and tell me that Jesus is the answer to my problems. Are there any resources to find a non-religious therapist?

LifeRing Secular Recovery is an abstinence-based network of face-to-face and online support groups for people seeking to reclaim and enjoy life, ending their cycles of alcohol and drug addiction. We encourage individuals to build a personal recovery program based on these three guiding principles; Sobriety, Secularity, and Self-help. For more information see our web site at www.lifering.org.
