  Hello, My 92 yr. old mom is having problems with a relatively new colostomy (3–4 months). Although it functioned well initially, she now experiences bloating, pain, and is not producing waste consistently. The staff at Wood County Hospital have not been able to find the problem. Does anyone know of a specialist in the Toledo area that we might consult? Thanks.

  There are a few questions…is this lady mobile? What kind of foods are being consumed. How much water is being consumed daily? Have you tried Milk of Magnesia? We have an out patient clinic@the St Luke’s campus on Thursdays from 8-12, 419-887-8789 . Unfortunately, we only handle pouching problem. A doctor will have to deal with the inside stuff.
