  Hi all. My wife and I are headed to Syracuse the end of July for the weekend. It's our first trip back in 20 years. Looking for suggestions for a relatively inexpensive hotel to stay at preferably west or north of downtown.

  Go to www.VisitSyracuse.com as it is the official tourism site for Onondaga County. The Super 8 on 7 th North or Maplewood Inn is in a good location, only 10 minutes to Armory Square downtown for incredible dining & boutique shopping. Downtown also offers great museums & events. You would be only 6 minutes from Destiny USA, the 6 th largest mall/multi-entertainment center in the United States. Syracuse has an amazing winery in East Syracuse - Greenwood Winery...dining, wine & pleasant atmosphere. You would also be close to Onondaga Lake Park where you can rent bicycles & ride the paved walkway that is about 4 miles long. There is also a free tram to ride if wish. Depending on the weekend, you can enjoy various events; check out the Visit Syracuse website's calendar of events & sort by date.
