  My daughter was diagnosed with IC a year and half ago. She is a late twenties young woman and is in need of a holistic approach to healing or maintaining the episodes.. She lives in Arlington VA/Washington DC metro area. Her current physician prescribed the Elmiron however that is very much out of her budget. After reading others experiences with that drug perhaps it is best not to use. If anyone has a great doctor to suggest for her please contact me! Thank you

  I take Elmiron. I have yet to notice any difference in my symptoms but I have known of many people for whom Elmiron has been a miracle drug. I know it takes time to work, and works better for some than others. It is very expensive as there is no generic. The drug company that makes Elmiron does have an assistance program to help with the cost and it's possible to get lower cost or even free medication.
