Have you been to the Midlothian Animal Shelter lately? It's nothing but a corrugated barn bursting at the hinges with cages and cages of animals that need a home, and a few good but overwhelmed folks trying to care for them all. They do a good job, but resources are very limited and so animals are euthanized constantly--and even that costs money. The Humane Society estimates that 60% of households have two or more pets--so that would be roughly 3,600 more animals in town...and about 1/4 of those will get out or have litters that they can't care for. What will happen then? Is there a plan? This is a microcosm of what will happen to our whole town. Come on 6/3 and say NO to high density housing. Don't allow hearsay to discourage you!
