Three days after High School graduation in June of 1993, I shipped out to Parris Island, SC as a 17 year old Marine Recruit. I enlisted in the USMC Reserves ultimately to receive the GI Bill and continue my education, and served six proud years finishing my military contract as a USMC Corporal in June of 1999.
During my time in the military I learned many things, possibly most importantly how to adapt and overcome. I served mostly on the West and East coasts of the United States at various bases having completed my duty at a time when our country was experiencing relative peace. Completing various military schools and training, along with performing my occupational specialty as a Motor Transport Operator, I was fortunate enough to learn many lessons from the best this country has to offer.
Outside of my experience in the United States Marine Corps, I have been fortunate enough to work in many different disciplines over the past two decades. I have done everything from leading a team manufacturing office furniture in a wood shop, working as a painter (both interior and exterior), doing vinyl siding and shingling, to working in Information Technology for two of the best colleges in the world amongst other things.
Throughout my time, I have acquired a very diverse skill set that I would like to put to work for you! Be it manual labor, simple errand completion, pet care, or some more skilled projects such as constructing retaining walls or painting, the Handy Marine is the solution to completing the projects you have been putting off!
Could you please share: I am looking for a skilled finish carpenter and also a handyman who are looking to pick up some small side jobs at my home on the south shore.
Thank you!
