  Hello, we use a system called Gelicure at Utopia on Stert Street which is similar to Shellac but uses much less chemicals, is supported by PETA and is vegan friendly. Most our clients also find they last longer than Shellac. We always do thorough preparation of the nail and cuticles rather than a shape and varnish with the gel, which is essential for a long lasting gel manicure or pedicure.
