  Hi Andrea, I was wondering if you recommend a relaxed, family-friendly restaurant or cafe for my birthday party. I want good food in an environment where people won't get stroppy if the kids get boisterous. Better still, if there's a playground or something nearby.

  I've heard that the Raiders Club in Gungahlin has a playground in the restaurant area. We go to Gungahlin Thai Kitchen all the time - kids would have to stay at the table but the staff are great and LOVE kids. There's also a very yummy Italian place at Yerrabi Pond that is good with kids: http://www.danunzio.com.au/ If you go during the day, someone could walk the kids across the road to the lake while you're waiting for your food.
