  Hi everyone! I'm new to this group my family grew up in southie and i never miss a parade but live in weymouth. I need some advice and if it was asked by somebody else sorry! I'm in a tough situation and just trying everything i can think of for help or leads to get the help! Does anyone know of any dentists in the south shore area (Weymouth,Braintree, Quincy) the farthest i would be able to get to is Boston; I would be takin the MBTA. I have mass heath standard and because i am 22 they barely cover anything dental only the basic stuff. I currently cannot work due to health issues, so i have barely any income, i get help at the moment financially but its barely enough to pay the bills i have now along with co pays for medications; so a payment plan would be almost impossible unless it was $10 buck a month but i know that wouldn't happen. But Long story short I was told i possibly need one root canal or more and it would cost over 2k for just one and there is zero way i can afford it. Does anybody know of any dentists who help people in my situation? I'm starting to be in a ton of pain because of this and need to do something about it soon and I'm just stuck. Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance for any help :)

  Tufts will still charge you although much less than a regular dentist. You should try a community health center they charge on a sliding scale according to income and you can qualify for free care. Here is one but, there are several in your area. You need to call around some have dental service some do not. http://www.manetchc.org

  Ping Chan closed his Scituate officd, he is right in Quincy off Hancock St. billings St. he is the best! 617.472.8807, Well worth the ride to Quincy!

  Ping Chen was at the Driftway - he no longer has an office in Scituate but is in Quincy center. He's great - you can find him under Chinese Medical Center, Quincy. I used to see him in Scituate but now go to Quincy - he's worth it!

  A buddy swears by Ping Chan 38-42 Billings Road North Quincy 617-472-8807 in the Chinese Medical Building. Also has an office in Scituate.
