  Can anyone recommend a fair/trusted garage for an Mot locally. Have been put off by these cut price Mot's that subsequently come back with a load of advisories. Wanted to use the Vosa one at Hedge End as they are truly independent and don't do repairs but they are booked well in to August. Want it fair and safe but don't want to be spending on unnecessary repairs as I have seen people do posting on here with different garages having varying opinions.

  Does anyone have a trustworthy garage they can recommend? We have a Renault Clio that the dealer has advised that the timing belt should be changed, and also quoted £500! Sounds very steep, but no idea. TIA
