  Have some family from out of state here and was hoping for a picnic on Lake Lanier, we are also new two the area. We have only explored the buford dam area. Any suggestions for a great spot with a great view, maybe sand or playground for kids, possibly a grill? And does anyone have any idea what time they close since it is getting a little dark earlier?   Where are some good spots in Forsyth County to watch the sunset? I'm an amateur photographer and would love to know where some good photo spots are. I've seen some gorgeous ones but always with something in the way (utility poles, etc.) That's great for kicking back & enjoying the moment but I'd really like to do the photography thing on occasion.
