Plastic Free July - is anyone here participating? I was always going to do it, but got too busy to think it through. After shopping yesterday I’ve conceded that it’s going to be more difficult than I first thought. Which means that I’m getting into it late, but better late than never!
Fruit and veg is easy as I already take my own bags along. But staples like pasta, rice and other pantry items are more challenging. Not to mention cheese, meat, dried fruit, nuts and confectionery to list a few.
If anyone has some tips of local places who could accommodate this, that would be great. Ideally Warrandyte through Ringwood / Croydon area, but open to suggestions further afield for bulk purchases. Would like to support local / Aust made as much as possible, which is often harder than it should be.
So I’m looking to avoid single use plastic by using my own packaging / container or non-plastic packaging eg cardboard, paper etc.
