Anyone take their baby to an Osteopath?
Did it help?
Recommendations?
Cost?
No. Of sessions?
Thankyou!
Joyaa A. replied:
{Blush; ears burning }. To GCFBC: no. of sessions depends very much on the nature of problem, history, health of baby etc. One session to check a fundamentally healthy, beautiful baby ... but considerably more if the baby needed resuss, is sickly, has had surgery etc. Off the top of my head, I'd say the average no. of sessions varies between one and four for the commoner presentations, but always check with your practitioner. Babies are brought to osteopaths for latching & feeding problems, reflux, colic, flat head syndrome, sleep issues, birth trauma, snuffliness, foot and ankle problems, and a host of other issues. Thinking very generally: * Some of us are treat a lot of babies & children. * Not everyone's approach is the same (just as is true of GPs, lactation consultants and - dare I say - obstetricians). * To add a few names to those already mentioned for those in the Tweed area, I recommend Jonathan Evans, Julian Guy and Sharon Fraser. ( They each work in Tweed - at different locations). If you have any specific question about care of babies, you are very welcome to drop me a line. E.g., here www.facebook.com/GoldCoastOsteopathy. Hope this helps.
