I have transported several times with this organization. There is no fee to have your animal transported. Volunteer drivers are not paid, but there are plenty of other expenses incurred in a transport, including the crates and other equipment provided for transport. As for violating protocols, URRKN's mistake was trusting a rescue that the cat was being sent with a Health certification when the rescue knew that it had not gotten the cat checked out and sent another official looking paper -- a difference the rescue knew but a volunteer driver would not. No one is forced to use the service, drive, or donate. So it is a real shame to see people trying to denigrate the hard work of hundreds of volunteers who have helped transport over 400 cats in the last 4 years. Haters gonna hate, I guess.

They provide a wonderful service. There is a small group of people that make up stories and try to make URRKN seem bad on a regular basis I have to healthy happy cats at home with me now safe because of what URRKN does. What the "haters" also don't tell you is they also started a transport group... Imagine home that LOST a kitten. The person who had the cat go missing from the b n b is no longer a part of URRKN, They would not let anyone so irresponsible to be able to risk anymore kitties. URRKN does NOT charge a fee,Tehy ask for a donation and it IS optional. Come join the group see how things are, You will find that these other's are following one single person...Who is a drama starting, low life who is so miserable that she insists on trying to make others just as unhappy. She has been making up stories and doing whatever she can to start drama. A kitty was transported to her, the rescue she adopted the cat from, Falsified document's. Yet she still blames URRKN. Maybe it's time to blame the rescue and yourself. You adopted this kitty. ALL URRKN does is transport. URRKN is not involved in the adoption process, and has no control over what happened.

Beware! They do not rescue, they transport. Urrkn has a terrible history of loosing cats, transporting without health certificates and rabies cert..Their lack of following the rules dont exist. THIS UNPROFESSIONAL CEO approved a very sick kitten transport thus causing one adopter to not only loose the cat she was trying to adopted, he was sick during transport and brought a deadly airborne disease into her home causing one of her own to die and the rest are carriers for life. I have also seen and heard they raise alot of money, always fundraising.!!!!!!!!!!!! They run this site from the internet, out of their home. The volunteers pay all expenses and take on all liability. So I wonder wher all the money goes. The ceo, Tina Lablanc needed a new air conditoner , so there was a fundraiser, another fundraiser for a cell phone for her adult son. She also chooses to post her questionable lifestyle on her pages. Sorry I don't need to know you are polygamous, or that you had your navel pierced. There are many legit transport companies , I would recommmend Imagine Home or Kindred Hearts.

People need to remember that URRKN doesn't rescue. They don't pull animals from kill centers nor do they provide funds to do so. They transport cats only and not always as well as they claim. They do not have 23,000+ members and would not be able to provide a list to you. The drivers absorb ALL costs of transport and only people who donate are provided VIP service. So if you are in a hurry be prepared to cough up some cash otherwise it takes months to get a cat transported. There are much more reputable transports available and I recommend you steer clear of these people. The CEO and staff are in it for the money only while shoving the entire responsibility of the cats onto the members. I know because I was a member and driver for two years. Ask about lost and stolen kitties while in transport. Ask about the sick kitties sent to adopters. Do your homework and see if the respond to your questions.

DO NOT use this nonprofit. If you need your cat transported there are several reputable nonprofits who are honest, trustworthy, and will take excellent care of your kitty. URRKN is not one of those. URRKN does not save or rescue cats. They provide free transport, after the adoption is final, by members who pay for all expenses for driving the cat(s) to their next destination. URRKNs only office is a Facebook page and admins coordinate transports with their personal computers. URRKN does not incur any expenses for a transport. After being a member and driver for URRKN for two years, it came to my attention there were several issues including lost and stolen cats, by members, without anything being done to find them. An adopter was sent a kitten by URRKN without a health certificate and the kitten carried a fatal disease, eventually dying, but not until the adopters other cats were infected and died as well. Irregularities by the CEO and admins regarding fund raising for personal items such as car repair, major household items, and personal trips not associated with URRKN. There is evidence that the CEO pressured people who requested transport to make a donation to keep URRKN operating even though URRKN incurs no expenses. Members are not reimbursed for gas, food, or any other costs. When I asked about these donations I was blocked from commenting. Since then, someone at URRKN reported me to Facebook for using a fake name, which was not true, yet I was blocked from using my account until I provided Facebook with legal documents identifying myself. Stay away from this organization and for the safety and well-being of your precious kitty find another transport.

These people are so unethical. I gave them 1 star only because I can't give them no stars. They lose pets, transport sick pets and lie. They fund raise all the time but they have no paid employees because it is all volunteer. They have no overhead because everything is Internet. The ceo, Tina LeBlanc requested her followers send her 3000 pennies so she could use for her bedroom floor. This is a 501c non profit but they are not transparent and will block anyone who questions them. I would stay far away from them. Use someone who is at least honest and responsible.

I used this service once. They violated their own protocol for HC, Rabies vaccine, and spaying. A little kitten, I named T-me arrived with a highly contagious air borne virus, that cause her death on Aug 14, 1014, then 2 of my other kittens caught this. One name Liberty, died from it on Aug 11, 2014. Justice my Tortie survived after numerous vet visits and survived only to be a lifetime carrier of this deadly virus. The vets office cat Joe, also caught this virus and with 24 hour around the clock vet care, survived. My Justice would break out with this virus and die and she could also cause the deaths of my other 2 kittens, which were here before the little kitten T-Me was transported here by URRKN. This group did everything they could think of to blame everyone, including me, for their dereliction of responsibility. I have been harassed thru fb reports for nonsense by members of URRKN and others who post on my page and Juanita Mengel's page are harassed, reported, and in my opinion stalked and bullied. Stay as far away from this group as you can. They raise big $ as a non-profit and yet they are use all non paid volunteers to transport cats from point A to point B. They are not transparent in where the funds/donations are spent or where all the fundraiser monies go. Many question on the financials of this non-profit are being asked and not answered. The first poster dated May 19, 2015 is a personal friend of the founder Tina LaBlanc and California Attorney.

I have used this service three times, to transport cats rescued locally to new homes in three different states, one of them on the other side of the continent. Each time the service was free (donations accepted gratefully but not required); the contact people were friendly and helpful; they provided excellent instructions to prepare the cats for transport; they provided tags and hammocks and special keepsakes for me and for the people transporting the cats, and for the new adopters; and there was a great deal of fun and cheerleading online from supporters on the days that the transports were taking place. I've watched this group since it began; it has had some growing pains (what group hasn't?) but it keeps moving forward and doing what it does for the love of the cats. Highly recommend!
