You can rest assured that your pooch will get lots of affection and attention during their stay at Petopia!
Petopia’s specialty is providing top quality open concept dog kennel services for both short and long-term stays. A wonderful alternative to traditional dog kennels where dogs are typically caged for much of the day and night, Petopia offers open concept boarding to give your dog a comfortable, safe, and fun place to stay while you are away.
Boarding dogs enjoy the same fun as pups in daycare but have special needs beyond those of our daily guests. Being away from their "people" often causes elevated stress levels so we place an emphasis on keeping our boarding dogs comfortable and stress-free.
As opposed to pet sitting, where you’re pet may only get an hour or two of human attention each day, your dog will enjoy canine and human contact throughout their stay.
You will be required to make an appointment prior to the stay with us just to make sure your dog is friendly and social with other dogs.

Despite his age (almost 15!), Cookie is a lively dog who enjoys walks and the company of other dogs. Due to his age, Cookie has lost his hearing and suffers from mild kidney disease. Most of all, he is a friendly snuggler who hasn't lost his touch when it comes to begging for treats! We have a wedding in Halifax the weekend of June 24. Cookie is a lovely, quiet dog who has mild kidney disease, but I would Pre-prepare all his meals (they are homemade, so they require refrigeration), so no worries. He is fully vaccinated. Actual dates away would be June 22-June 25. Prefer no young kids in household for good match.
