Greetings! Thanks for stopping by to check out Fitting Pretty. :-)
Over the last few years, I have offered clothing alteration services to family and close friends, as well as private sewing, jewelry-making, and knitting lessons. After some thought, I decided to make my alterations services pubic, as well as offer a close-knit teaching environment for anyone interested in learning how to sew, knit, or make beautiful beaded jewelry.
My love for sewing started years ago when I had the pleasure to learn how to create my own fashions under the direction of the wonderful, Mrs. Patrick at Greensburg Salem Senior High School. Soon afterwards, I followed in her footsteps and also became a high school fashion teacher at Greater Latrobe. I have taught hundreds of amazing students how to make their own clothes, successfully operate a daunting sewing machine/serger, make affordable formal jewelry, repair clothes, create home interior projects, design prom dresses, and knit beautiful accessories. I also spent a couple of years selling my own hand-made jewelry, handbags, and knitted scarves at many local art shows, as well as home parties. It's been an amazing ride, and I would love to continue helping others look their best, and explore their own creativity.
