  I'm looking for some advice and was hoping I could find it here (or be directed to where I could). We were told last week by a developmental pediatrician at Siskin that our oldest child needs to have testing done for Asperger's/ASD. He referred us to someone else at Siskin but explained that the testing would not be covered by insurance. I'm trying to get a straight answer from our insurance provider and find out if it is just this dr who doesn't work with insurance or if coverage for this kind of testing is just not available. Can anyone recommend anyone that they know does psycho-educational evaluations for ASD and works with insurance? We know that our oldest needs this and suspect that another of our children will need it as well.

  Psychiatrist recommendation? My sister was recently diagnosed with schizophrenia. After having an emotional breakdown last weekend, she has been at Valley for about a week. A doctor at Valley diagnosed her and prescribed her several different high-mg drugs. I feel like it's a good idea for her to also get a second opinion, and would appreciate any recommendations.
