  South Austin Vet recommendations? Just rescued a dog from a houston shelter. Shes a furball of joy and happiness now only 1 day home now after being surrendered by a family I am guessing abused her. My regular vet is Brodie Animal Hospital, but they are booked up for 2 weeks, and she needs to be checked out within 3 business days. She is also vomiting excessively. I’m sure she is just getting way too excited and overwhelmed and its just anxiety puking and maybe some pain from her spaying, but if anyone knows any place in South Austin that can look at her sooner, please Let me know!   Vet Rehab Clinic? Hello, I am looking for a great rehab clinic for my three-legged dog. She has been missing a back leg basically since birth and adjusted fine. She is now almost 2 and recently tore her meniscus and ACL on her only hind limb, which required surgery. She is almost 8 weeks post-op and is getting along fairly well. I am looking for recommendations for rehab facilities that offer hydrotherapy and fitting for wheelchairs. Our vet and surgeon both recommended these things but we do not have these services available in my area of El Paso, TX. I am willing to travel quite far for my sweet pup so she can get the best care. The vet also suggested laser therapy if available. Any recommendations for places to take her?

  I am pretty sure that Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency offers hydrotherapy based on their Facebook pics. I know their website lists laser therapy. https://www.ctvsh.com They have an Austin and a Round Rock location. I have used the Round Rock location for after hours emergency care. I have consistently gotten great service from them, but it is an entirely different team. You may also wish to check Texas A&M’s vet hospital. https://vethospital.tamu.edu/small-animal . Sorry I don’t know anything closer.

  My daughter, Hannah, found this little guy on FM 1044 near County Line Rd on Tuesday night. She thought he had been tossed from a car d/t the abrasions, broken pelvis and leg. On x-ray,he showed signs of organ swelling that appears it could be from starvation and beatings. His leg was broken in so many places, it will be amputated if we can not raise enough money for a specialist. His collar was on so tight it has made a huge indention in his neck. Our hearts are broken that he had to endure such torture. NO living thing should ever experience this! We are looking for recommendations for a rescue vet surgeon to help repair his leg. It is broken beyond the scope of a normal vet's ability. We have raised a good chunk of money for the repair but have heard it is still very expensive. Thanks for your help!

  I like Dr Young at Zoots Pet Hospital on Hwy 29 in Georgetown. I have never had any issues with any vet there about feeding raw or doing minimal vaccinations. They have a chiropractor but I haven't used him yet. CTVSH does provide neurology services - at one point they had a neurologist but he left so not too sure who is providing that service now but it would be worthwhile checking with them - http://www.ctvsh.com/
