  Suggestions on a mechanic??? I usually take the truck to a place in Staunton and while they do a good job, it never costs less than $400 no matter what I get done.. But they get it done fast which is necessary since we only have 2 vehicles.. ( The heat is not working in the truck.. We changed the thermostat last year, but that did not fix it)

  We have found Gary Reid of Reid's Tire & Auto in Gillespie to be very fair and honest. This is a small, mom and pop shop. He is the only mechanic and they don't take plastic - maybe not even debit. Ray has taken his car there several times and saved money along with feeling like he was being given a fair price.
