  Love looking at the pics people have shared on this page! Was wondering if I could get any recommendations: My husband, our dog and I are wanting to do a very spur-of-the-moment camping and floating (need to rent) trip during the next few days this week (maybe Tues thru Fri) while the weather is lovely and he has a break from work. We have a small tent camper (no hookups.) Would like to do a bit of fishing, too. We are looking for a clean family-oriented place. We have kayaked and canoed the Meramec &want to experience these other rivers now as long as they aren't difficult to navigate. Also would like some good hiking, maybe some caves on or off the water and near enough to a town with a restaurant to get some yummy food & a few drinks. Is it too much to ask or is there such a place? Thanks in advance for any responses! ☺

  I have a different type of question. I'm looking for a comfortable place to stay for a few days along our beautiful streams that we have in the Ozarks. Here's the deal. I will be taking someone in their 80's and we want to be able to see some of the sites/springs without renting a canoe. Please suggest a place to stay and then places to take my 80 plus year old friend. He can still walk, but not more than 100 yards or so without taking a break. Thanks in advance!
