About us
Silhouette Dance Academy is a newly established school with a bright and promising future. My enthusiasm for teaching will be reflected in the classes to make them fun and beneficial.
SDA focus on performances and guarantee that all students are offered the same opportunities. I believe performances gain so much for children not only for experience but for confidence.
Performances happen most terms at Shenstone Village Hall and we take part annually in local events such as Gotta Dance at the Lichfield Garrick, Lichfield Festival and the Fuse Festival.
BIGGER opportunities are now in place performing with organisations such as Stafford Sports, Bobby Dazzlers and Chance2Dance where we've performed and the Lichfield Garrick, The Shaftesbury Theatre in London and the Birmingham Hippodrome.
SDA run classes weekly in gymnastics and acrobatics, cheerleading, modern, street, contemporary, tap and ballet and take pupils from the age of 2 1/2.
Classes are held at:
The Lichfield Methodist Church on Mondays, The Martin Heath Hall on Tuesdays, Shenstone Village Hall on Wednesdays and Thursdays and The Darwin Hall Lichfield on Fridays and Saturdays.
SDA offer workshops during half terms and during the 6 week summer holidays. During these workshops we do many styles of dance and gymnastics and even do a spot of singing and drama work.
Dance and gymnastic parties are available and are customized to suite your needs. Previous themes have been Princess and Pirates, High School Musical, Disney and Little Mix.
SDA are famous for their Frozen Experience parties where Elsa, Anna and Olaf run a 2 hour party taking care of all children entertainment. Other characters are now available including Cinderella, Belle, Rapunzel, Ariel and Tinkerbell. For the boys superheros are available including Spider-man and Batman. Oh and I have a cheeky Minion Mascot too!
We now have a 13m tumble track! The best aid for gymnastics skills! Used at gym, cheerleading, and tumble classes and also is available for... show more tumble track parties.
Miss Becky is also hired for her choreography and increasingly more than ever for the happy couples first dance.
