Hi guys,
If there is any Irish luthier in this group, I am search for tonewood in Ireland . As of now I import my timber from either the US or Germany. Are there any local sources one could recommend ?
Places to get wood for woodworking in South Wales UK. Hi Everyone, I've been an DIY / hobby wood worker for a while and have always relied on scraps / off cuts from people i know to make most of my projects (mainly small items). However I've recently built myself a large shed / shop and have stepped up my projects.
However i am struggling to find a reliable and easily accessible source of wood for projects, so far most of my answers are either builders merchants (with very little selection) or places like B&Q wickes which are expensive for small pieces and again don't have much selection outside of "pine, Plywood, MDF". i'm looking for oak, beech, ash, Walnut etc.
thanks in advance for any help.

Kirk Boulton at www.exotichardwoodsukltd.com or Bob at www.exotichardwoods.co.uk. I've also had some stunning figured 'Maple' (Acer Pseudoplatanus so Sycamore in the UK) from www.drewbas-tonewood.com
