Hi everyone, just wanted to know if anyone has taken up the government offer to pay 1/2 for replacing downlighting with LED?? ( ends soon)
Has anyone put them in & can recommend the quality? And company used? Thanks :)

Other points worth noting are that the free lamps won't operate on a dimmer switch. The dimmer switch can be bypassed and then the free LED lamps can be installed on that switch.A certificate of electrical safety must be issued once any electrical wiring work is done including disconnecting dimmers or repairs to lights. The subsidized LED fittings are dimmable but in most cases the dimmer switch will have to be replaced with an LED compatible dimmer for about $40 plus any charges for fitting. If anyone has any questions or would like to book an appointment for fittings of the LEDs at your home or business call me Rory Croft licensed electrician on 0410671717
Looking for recommendations for reputable installer to replace low voltage halogen down lights to LED lights under the government subsidised scheme? TIA Matt Baker
