He hasn't made any contact since my husband has been there since I was about 4 months pregnant we've been married almost a year and he is the only daddy my daughter knows he wants to adopt her and I need advice on how to go about it without costing a fortune.   Adoption can be done yourself. You can do out on grounds of abandonment if he has not paid child support or made contact with the child in the last 12 months. It cost my ex son in law 1200 at Maddox and Harding. Do it yourself and it costs 210 Court cost, and money to run ads in newspapers in order to attempt to serve.

  My sister had nothing but probs with Maddox and Harding. She always had a hard time getting calls returned. But there again, you get what you pay for.. Now, she is using Walter Moore. He is much better, always returns calls and stays on top of things.
