  Do NOT take your car to Brakes Plus on Baseline and Greenfield. We brought our car in to have the brakes and CV boots replaced. The car ran great and has never had any prior problems, it just has high mileage and needed both of these replaced. Ever since they worked on the car we have been having issues with the several electrical components related to the brakes. We took the car back into them and they claimed that sometimes things coincidentally go wrong around the same time and that our alternator is going out. They were more than happy to replace it for 10% off, which would still be $550. We refused, and took the car to Auto Zone where they confirmed that our alternator is working just fine and does not need to be replaced. Brakes Plus claims that it is just a coincidence that these electrical issues showed up around the same time, but our car seriously had NO problems before we brought it in. Clearly they messed something up and are refusing to take accountability. On that note, does anyone know of a good mechanic we can take the car to for a second opinion to prove they caused these issues?

  Same thing happened to us with Napa Auto on Power and Germann. All of a sudden all these issues started happening after they replaced the timing belt, and they said the same thing "coincidence". Took car to Rick at The Brake Shop in Mesa and parts that Napa said I needed to replace were fine. http://www.brakeshopaz.com . Good luck

  Brake Shop in Mesa (Country Club/Main) i went there to have work done "recommended" by the service dept of a "big name" dealer. As it turns out, Rick from the Brake Shop said I didn't need it and actually showed me why on my vehicle. Saved mucho $$$! #honestmechanic http://www.brakeshopaz.com
