  Orthodontists in KC area? My kid needs braces. Hoping to get a few recommendations for an orthodontist in the area, preferably north of the river. Also I'm kind of curious what a ballpark cost is these days. I'm expecting between $3k-6k but really have no idea. Thanks.

  My family uses [Kurt Kavanaugh](http://www.kavanaughortho.com/) off of Barry Road. He's awesome. He did both of my brothers, mine, my stepbrother's, and my stepsister's (over the span of 15 or so years). He's incredibly nice and does excellent work.
