A piece wood on my fold down attic ladder recently broke when a repairman headed up to take a look at the heating/cooling system; pretty much rendering the ladder useless and the attic unreachable. A piece of wood split by one of the folding joints. I'd rather forgo the experience of totally replacing the ladder and instead have a carpenter fashion a fix for me. Has anyone done this before? Does anyone have a recommendation for a carpenter?

Biff Henley, a handyman recommended by others on this site, might be able to do it. His number is 703-403-5354. Very nice man, reasonable rates.
Hi, I need to hire a handyman to come and hang some blinds/curtain rods. Don't want to pay a fortune and don't need engineering expertise. Just someone with a power drill and a level! Thanks for any recommendations.
