My vet said it's not uncommon for Batavia residents pets.Cindy A. replied:Batavia has very hard water so a water softener is a must. We originally had an RO system and the pressure was not strong enough to make ice through our ice maker. We then got a whole house salt free system through Pelican and it is awful - it does filter the water although the salt free portion stinks. We have had so much calcium deposits due to the hard water that we had to replace faucets and our dishwasher. Enterprise Plumbing, Inc is great and they will test the water first and have a water softener made for your needs - it isn't as inexpensive as the store bought softeners - 630-365-9710
