Lively Bakery was born from our baker, Sasha O'Connor's need for healthy, delicious gluten-free foods. After years of dealing with a gluten intolerance, and baking for a daughter with a dairy allergy, she realized the need for baked goods, and sweets, that satisfy both of these needs. Sasha has participated on The Food Network's “Recipes to Riches,” and was one of the 40 best recipes in Canada with her Strawberry Delight. The first client to get Sasha's business off the ground was Luckett Vineyards, who carried her “Raspberry Delight.”
She prides herself in using what is available locally; vegetables, fruits and berries, for her baking. Often honey and maple syrup are used in the place of more refined sweeteners.
Our baking is available by pre-order, and no request is too small or too large.
Our gluten free baked products are available locally every Saturday at the Alderney Landing Farmers' Market, in Dartmouth, and daily at the following:
