Hi All! Well after 120 days my 70 Convertible arrived, well worth the wait I must say.
I must point out at this point i'm not motor car literate when it comes to old cars and their parts etc, but very keen to learn, so don't shoot me down. Thanks guys. Here are some questions I've got to start with.
Anyway, I've had it for a couple of weeks and now with the assistance of a mate have gotten around to pulling the wheels off to see what needs to be done to get it road registered. We made a list of parts that I need, mainly suspension, bushes, joints etc that have worn out, but i'm at a loss as to where to find them locally, I am hoping to find a parts dealer in Australia I can get them all from, for example a front end suspension rebuild kit. So far I've loads of places in the US but shipping costs get ridiculous. Any suggestions, anyone local on here?
How much does the Cougar & Mustang have in common when it comes to parts apart from the obvious? For example can I order Mustang suspension/bushes and the other components to go in the Cougar? I have bought the workshop manuals for the Cougar which covers the Mustang as well but they leave me with more questions than answers. *sigh*.
I'd appreciate any help you can offer me.
Thanks again.
Tim
