  Does anyone know of a seamstress or alterations place who is able to work on a 50 year old dress? I really want to wear my Grandmothers dress for my ceremony, and while the majority of the dress seems to be in excellent shape, the very bottom is hardened and maybe a little dry rotted.. I'd like to find someone with experience in older, beaded gowns to either restore the bottom, if possible, or cut the bottom off to make the dress tea length. (everything above the shins is in good condition, just needs to be cleaned). I'm in Baltimore, so I'd like to not have to travel more than an hour.
