You can call the Dane County Aging and Disability Resource Center@608-240-7400. Ask for information about the forgivable home loan program for repairs or home modifications for disabled people.
Does anyone know of an assisted living facility in Madison that is subsidized?
Kathy L. replied:
The Medicaid programs Dane County has for community-based are are waitlisted. Unfortunately, Dane County does not participate the the Family Care program, which is a Medicaid program operating in all but 15 counties. Where it exists, seniors whose care plan calls for assisted living receive assistance without a waiting list. Dane County does have an Aging and Disability Resouce Center at 2865 N. Serman in the strip mall. This is a one-stop location for info and referral for people with disabilities and seniors. Their phone number is 240-7400 and their website is adrc@countyofdane.com. they are open for walk-ins M-F, 7:45-4:30.
