  Dentist in Rittenhouse/Center City West? Did a search and hasn't been anything in a while. Had a great dentist in NY but having trouble finding someone here in Philly. Seems like everyone just wants to upsell on cosmetic procedures. I just want a general dentist for cleanings, fillings, etc. Anyone have some good recommendations? I already tried Woody's.

  Eric Cantor, 1903 Pine Street - 215-546-8195 I’ve been a patient for a long time. He’s very gentle. He has an employee who does scheduling and billing, but he does all of the other work himself. He cleans your teeth, xrays, and examines them, so he gets to know them. A lot of dentists see you for five minutes, but not him. He runs on schedule because he sees one patient per time slot (hour).

  I have been going to Dr. Cantor at 19 th and Pine for almost 10 years. Private practice by a local Dr. who lives in the area. Downside is that he can catch you eating ice cream at the Triangle. http://pinestreetdentistry.com/
