  Check your local humane society. I don't know your location, but Arkansans for Animals has a mobile unit that travels throughout Arkansas. They spay cats for around $35 (and that includes the rabies vac too). They do other tests and vacs really cheap too. In April they were in Helena, and in May they were in Imboden. Not sure where they'll be next. But check their website and give them a call. They have spayed one of my cats and neutered all of my dogs. And they are all healthy and happy today! http://www.arkansans4 animals.org/

  That's absolutely untrue. The spay and neuter clinics are run by mostly volunteers and most of the cost is covered via donations. The complications probably would have occurred had your own vet done the surgery. We had our female spayed by Arkansans for animals and they did a wonderful job and took every precaution. They offer a bloodwork option as well. They book a month in advance. I'd also suggest the humane society of saline county.
