My fav around there is probably "public house" on Islington Pk St, it's a bit wanky, but the cocktails are lovely and they do 2-4-1 on a Thursday night until 8 pm (as do Slim Jims) http://boutiquepubs.com. Just noticed it has good reviews on Time Out and Trip Advisor too.
