  Off the streets is not a homeless shelter. The cold weather Armory shelters are open and so is the courtyard emergency shelter in Santa Ana.

  Good Morning HBCF.. I have been privately contacted by an HBCF member who is seeking immediate help in the form of information for another HB resident in need. A family of 4 children about to be evicted. (Tuesday) There are all kinds of circumstances that have gotten them here. From what I gather they have been struggling on their own for quite some time.. just seem to be seeing the light but have run out of time. They have other needs also, obviously, if they are trying to cover rent...but that seems to be the most immediate need. If you know of agencies/ groups or organizations that can help I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated I'd love to see how someone gets help before they become homeless....Maybe others could use this kind of help before it gets to the last minute too...   A friend reached out to me because her 19yr old best friend and 21yr old brother just became homeless. They were living with their addict mom, but she abandoned them once they got evicted. They are looking for a shelter or some services that may be able to help them. The 19yr old has a part-time fast food job, but it doesn't make enough to support them. Does anyone have suggestion on places they can go or seek help? They called Build Futures which is an amazing program, but to my understanding they are only taking singles at this time. My friend paid for them to stay in a hotel for 3 days, but they are trying to still figure out where to go after that. Please share any suggestions so I can let her know. Thank you!
