  Best place to stay in the summer? My boyfriend and I headed your way the second week in May and wanting to stay for 3 days to see the sights. However, we can't afford the $200-300 price tags for hotels. We are looking to spend about $100-150 a night, with cheaper being better. From my research the hotels are cheaper in surrounding cities. We would like to stay in something one step up from a motel 6, or nicer of course. Does anyone recommend any cities that are cheaper, but have access to the metro so we can ride in to the city?   Check out [Adams Inn](http://www.adamsinn.com/). It's a nice boutique hotel in my neighborhood. Around $120 a night it seems. I've had family stay there, and they really liked it. It doesn't have a lot of hotel amenities, mind you, but it has charm. Edit: Or downvote me because you don't like my suggestion, I guess.

  Absolutely Adam's Inn is highly recommended. It's in historic row houses, a locally owned, independent biz, economical, and friendly. And the Circulator has two stops on Adams Mill Rd right at the end of Lanier Place. www.adamsinn.com This is great for people in Adams Morgan and Mt. Pleasant who would like friends to stay nearby!
