  I can also recommend Edgars Masonry and Construction. They have just completed my Park Rd faade. I have used other masons over the past 20 years for inside and outside repointing and like their work best.   I don't think all the helpful recommendations for tuck-pointing and brick work we received went to the listserv, so Ive compiled the others here: Philip Parks, (202-409-4034). He was recommended as having done lots of work in Mt. Pleasant, especially on Lamont Street. Renaissance Development, http://rendevdc.com/, was recommended by two people. They were noted for being particularly good with historic houses. Edgars Construction and Masonry, http://edgarsmasonry.com/ was also recommended by two people.
