I am search of a well recommended dog trainer. We just adopted a lab retriever rescue pup. He is approx 8 months old. We live in Garden Oaks. Any suggestions?

Puppy Group Training Class Recommendations I am adopting a maltese/yorkie mix this coming weekend, and have not had much luck with google or yelp looking for a puppy class.
I've found some that are either private lessons or more of a day care structure, but I'd like more of a group class. I'd like to work on socialization and basic commands, but I really don't think a dog that will be no more than 8 pounds needs such intense training.
I'd also love any other recommendations for groomers/classes/anything else! Although it might be a little bit of a "sissy" dog, I'm looking forward to doing any activity I can with my precious pup!

I took my dogs to [Pup Scouts](http://www.pup-scouts.com), they were reasonably priced and have good trainers. This is in the Spring Branch area.
Does anyone know of any place that has used crates? My little one has out grown his and I need to get him a bigger one. While I don't mind going and buying a new one, I would like to exchange/give...
CAP on I-10 sells used crates. Pup Scouts Dog Training ( http://www.pup-scouts.com ) also has a new program where they will lend you crates to fit your growing pup when you buy one from them. As your puppy out grows a crate, you turn it in and get the next size up until you're ready for the full-sized, brand new crate.
We just adopted a dog from the SPCA about 2 weeks ago. She's 11 weeks old now and she's a Lab/Catahoula mix and I was just wondering if anyone had any affordable training class suggestions. She's...
Pup Scouts has a free puppy class. There is no obligation and you can come even if you don't sign up for obedience classes. It's every Saturday at 2:30 and it's for dogs 10-20 weeks. Just call and let them know that you're coming- (713)468-7877. The class has an off leash playtime, then manners practice (ie greeting people nicely, not jumping etc.) and then usually a short lesson on other puppy issues. The class ends with another off leash playtime. Their web site is http://www.pup-scouts.com
Does anyone here know a rescue group that can take a 2 1/2 year old English Mastiff male? I have emailed FORM for our area and haven't heard anything back yet. Thanks,
