Live edge wood pieces? Hey, I'm looking for somewhere to buy small pieces of live edge wood for a project. Could any woodworkers/carpenters on this sub point me to a good source for buying wood locally?
If it helps, this is what I'm aiming to make: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY/comments/9vbksc/i_made_a_magnetic_board_for_my_kitchen_knifes/
So the piece of wood doesn't need to be super large, and ideally under 3" thick. But, I also want to build a guitar at some point in the future, so just general sources are welcome.

I'm working on a railing and looking for clear douglas fir or another suitable wood. Anybody here have any suggestions of where I should look? I am very open to reclaimed wood of course. I saw some...
Don't know how far you want to travel, but Steve Jackel in Watsonville (http://www.jackelenterprises.com/) carries a lot of remilled clear fir. Mickey
