  Inexpensive an good are jot on the same spec sheet. My son has had a few Baofeng UV-5R radios. They have worked pretty well. They are about 45 bucks on the Internet but I would suggest getting one from www.aaradio.com so you have some support of needed. For a little more you can get a Wouxun KG-UV6D. I have had that the longest and have not had any issues with it. They were good radios for him until he got a Motorola APX7000 and now he won't have anything to do with them. :-) Check out www.aaradio.com and see what deals they are running. Brian
