  South Austin OBGYN recommendation? I found few posts about OBGYN recommendation but they were over a year old so here goes :) My OBGYN is located in way north Austin but we are located in South East Austin. So we are looking for new OBGYN and facility who are located closer to us for birth (to prevent being stuck in traffic during labor) Given that it's our 1st, I prefer an OBGYN (not doula, home birth, etc) and also I prefer not to be pressured for C section, induced labor, etc. I would also like the place to have latest technology if possible. The places that seem close to us are St Davis and ARC but the reviews are mixed :/ Do you have any doctor that you had positive experience with? TIA!

  Doctors who will take my tubal ligation request seriously? I am looking for a doctor to get my "tubes tied" and nobody will take me seriously . They say I will regret it and want kids (nope) and then I'll sue them (fuuuuuck no). I'm 34, I have horrible mental health side effects from birth control or pregnancy, and had an abortion this summer when condoms failed me because the hormones were making me suicidal. I need this, it's the only non hormonal way to ensure I never get pregnant. I have never wanted kids. Does anybody know an OBGYN who will let me sign any legal document they throw at me so I can get my tubal ligation surgery?

  Well, that sucks. I got a vasectomy at 24 after never having a kid. Can’t imagine someone calling my decision into question. Funny society doesn't seem to care when people wholly unprepared for kids are wanting to have one. My ex-wife went to this guy, he seemed more like a proper OBGYN and less like a baby factory.
