  I know of 2 shops in Bay Ridge: J & A Fabrics (718) 238-1440 8208 3 rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY and Beverly Trimming Shop (718) 680-2731 7820 5 th Ave, Brooklyn, NY They both have fabrics and basic sewing supplies. They are not the cheapest but they are close by. Lada
