I would like to ask ONLY the folks who have actually own or have owned this product to reply. I’m looking for a “hardwood floor vacuum cleaner” that will lay nearly flat to go under couch & chairs (there’s no carpet at all in house). Dust mopping and/or sweeping are not an option. So here are the questions: 1. For those of you who own or have owned a quality “hardwood floor vacuum cleaner” what is the name brand? 2. Would you have purchased something different after owning one? If so, what? 3. Where can I purchase one in Forsyth county or Dawsonville? P.S. If you recommend "Shark" or other vacuum is there a specific model such as Shark Pro, Shark II ?

  I like Oreck products. Not cheap but worked better than any vacuum I've ever had plus it is light. I look at it as an investment. Magnesium. http://m.oreck.com. The store in Buckhead is great!

  I have not ever been here, but I know that this company is owned by a Christian family (their children attend the school I teach at) so it might be worth checking out. http://www.himebaughssewandvac.com/ Also, I know that Oreck stores service all/most vacuum brands(not sure where you live, but there's one in the Arboretum for sure, and more around the Charlotte area if you go to oreck.com).   Helen, I've had only good experiences with Singer Sewing & Vacuum Center on Atlanta Highway. My machine is modern, but I always see older/antique machines in the shop. They are in the shopping center with Academy Sports, where Atlanta Hwy. crosses Timothy Rd. Their phone # is (706) 543-8342. Hope that helps
