  Obviously, check out the DSMer who does rebuilds before anyone else, but you might also keep Standard Machine out in Glendale in mind. I heard about them from Chris D (The Cribbens) and the guys did a stand up job of rebuilding my bottom end on Daisy. Prices were very fair ($500 for bore/hone/balance/assembly/etc.) and the turn around was really good for me. Since then, we've had another az2 gnter take his block to see Roger for a rebuild and they are the first shop we would recommend to anyone local.
